The days are that slight little amount longer, they are also that slight little bit warmer.
We drag ourselves out of the apparent coldest winter this millennium, also apparently the most baron re: rain. This also points to a warm summer, so springing into Spring action is probably a necessary requirement. The returning of a high sun is a blessing, as the winter cragging options were getting cumber-sum, and the options for Spring cragging is joyous as it opens up such beauties like the Tower as an option.
The past few weeks have been what you would call – total shut down. Falling constantly on routes and not really climbing anything new. It is my Achilles this projecting business, give me a day bumbling around Araps classics and I’ll be wrapped, but constantly falling at the same bolt, lowering, retie in, go again – I’m new at this dark art, nonetheless, a rewarding experience.
I also hit a mighty big Roo heading south along the Henty Hwy one evening, poor old Scuba Steve needs a new front right panel. Alas, insurance extends a helping hand.
