Spurt Dirt, Hurt and Learnt

The depth of winter is passing, and the warming of the air is nigh – but how the cold days have been a challenge. Through July and August there have been few climbable weekends – snow, rain and compounding winds making it almost impossible to even contemplate climbing, but we tried anyways.

Spurt Wall became a frequent, due to the shelter it gave to the elements, even if it meant freezing; at least we were able to get some pitches in. People sampled then selected their projects and then the siege began.

Louis quickly ticked off a a couple of old projects from before The Amphitheater was closed in Spurt Girl (28) and his nemesis route of yonder Tyranny (29)

Troy finally ticked off Dial -a-Lama (24) and started sampling Weak Boy (26). I finally learnt the dark art of projecting and spent 3 good days working and finally sending Weak Boy.

There have been further climbing escapades around many areas – though I have been lazy and haven’t kept up with it on here, so I will let the photos do the talk
